Can anyone tell me if it ever snows in Arkadelphia or what the winters are like? I know the region of southern AR is not know for much snow, but thought the mountains might make a difference with that in Arkadelphia. I've searched these forums and haven't seen anyone discussing this, but forgive me if I missed it.

I lived about 30 miles northeast of Arkadelphia for about 50 years and it seemed we got more ice than snow, but we did get a few good ones. The town is in the Ouachita/Caddo River valley and more in hill country than mountains. Mountains of any significants are a few miles north. So, I guess I would say a "real" snow is highly unlikely.

Thank you for your response Sounds about what I was thinking it would be... like if it does snow at all it melts by noon?

Winters in Arkadelphia are known for an occasional snowstorm or an occasional big fat tornado.

Often, but not always.

Snow"storms" I don't remember - "big fat tornado" maybe in 1997

Yep, we have gotten snow here. It doesn't last for very long but we do get it. We have lived here since 2010 and have gotten snow for the past two years.
