Are there places to fish from the bank/shore on the lakes/rivers near Arkadelphia? I haven't been fishing in years. I'd love to go again, but I need to fish from the bank since I don't own a boat. I'm still new to the area, so I don't really know of any fishing spots. I'd really like to catch some catfish, but whatever bites my hook is fine by me!

Anywhere around the causeway (out towards the lodge) is a good place.

I agree with jt, but also go to any bait shop and tell them your story. I'll bet they will be happy to help.

There is a good looking spot on the south side of the dam on Lake Degray.

Kind of a park/picnic area.

Thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully the weather will cooperate long enough for me to get a hook in the water somewhere.

We usually go to Degray and fish from the bank there. We don't catch a lot, it is usually just little shiners but it is very relaxing. I use a cane pole but my son and daughter used a regular fishing pole but my cane pole caught more than their fancy poles..lol.
