I see the Malco is empty and looks like it may be either abandoned or getting a face lift. Anyone know what is happening to it?

The Malco is now used only as part of the annual Hot Springs Film Festival which, I think, starts soon.

The doc film fest starts this week. I saw only adds saying the Arlington, the Malco was gutted. Not sure what is going on but it seemed to be in some sort of renovation I hope. If you walk buy its all being torn apart. I hope its renovation not just being salvaged. I loved going to the HSFF there. Saw several great docs, and met Jerry Van Dyke. He lives in Malvern. I think Jeremy Irons was there several years ago. I missed his meet and greet.

the malco was damaged by a storm about two years ago. i really don't know the present status of ownership or use. the arlington is the new site for the film festival. the festival has had some issues in the past few years, especially since the damage to the theater. i think this year should be a return to a more normal schedule and improved festival.
