LR Sales tax rate is 7.42% per HomeInsight. I'd have to check some reciepts to confirm that. I'm pretty sure every municipality reports the sales tax rate inclusive of the state sales tax rate but I could be wrong. Gas prices in the Rock are at or above $3.00/gal right now. Other areas outside town are 0.05 or more lower. Here's you a good resource on gas prices:ArkansasMatters.com - Gas Tracker (http://arkansasmatters.com/content/features/gastracker - broken link)

The sales tax in Little Rock is 7.5%. There is an additional 2% tax on restaurant and hotel bills. If you mean the Fairfield Suites on Financial Center Parkway, that is a nice clean, safe commercial area.

The only Fairfield I'm aware of is in North Little Rock? If that's the one, boy are you in for a drive in heavy traffic! I think you'd have to go 40W for a couple of miles to 30, then go South across the river, then get on I-630 west...you're 4-5 miles to Hillcrest at that point. Don't know if you're going to upper Hillcrest or lower...you might can get off on Cantrell and follow it west to wherever it is you're heading. Doesn't really matter where, if you're traveling at peak times I wouldn't envy you -then again, I'm traffic-phobic!

I believe there used to be one on Financial Center Drive. It apparently is now a Jameson Suites. Sorry!

If you stay in NLR, the drive from NLR to Hillcrest area in rush hour will probably be 25 minutes. It just takes a little bit of patience! Do you plan on visiting sometime soon? Would your boss be able to place you in a different hotel?
