Yes, she has a right to express her opinion as long as she isn't attacking anyone personally, and even if we Arkansas lovers disagree with her, IMO. She's been very polite.

Honestly, the guy a while back asking about Pine Bluff didn't strike me as a troll at first either. A bit awkward maybe, but not a troll. I think the reactionary backlash probably pushed him in that direction more than anything.
I see no need to silence someone just because they have a complaint about Arkansas. The state has lagged behind at least 40 other states in almost all categories for as long as anyone can remember. That doesn't make it the worst place in the world (it's still America), and many people think it's the best for them. Good.
However, it explains why so many have left Arkansas over the years. Growth in the modern era is a somewhat new phenomenon fueled by retirees looking for an alternative and people escaping more expensive places. The job market is okay, but you have to be selective about where you live and/or what your profession is. It's like that in a lot of places though.
You mention the guy talking about Pine Bluff back about 4 or so months ago. Think about it or did you know he was all over CD using different screen names? And no, it isn't just seniors moving here. Our granddaughter started the trend of the family relocating here. We came from Tex, CA, NM OK and all with different backgrounds. All the younger ones found very good jobs in their field, from starting their own business and being quite successful, to finance, engineering and medical field. Not everyone is lucky enough to be able to do this but in our case it worked well. You are right about being selective about where you live. s

Polite yes, I will say except when she told Holly to get a hobby: that was outright rude. I still think she is a TROLL. We all have a right to voice our opinions but she makes almost no sense. I think that is where the problem lies.

to make bizarre claims about nazis and sexists running people out of AR is not polite opinions but rather bizarre and un-credible claims. Opinions is one thing, but completely false claims is another.

How's the weather up there Holly? Us and two other couples were supposed to come up yesterday for 4 days staying in the Cliff House cabins but they called Tuesday and said please don't come.

Now were planning on coming up next March when they reopen.

I"m only about 5 miles from Cliff House (4 miles from their cabins). We're iced in right now mostly due to freezing fog and a little freezing rain. The trees and everything outside is covered in ice. It's supposed to snow this afternoon. I need to put my metal ice cleats on to go walk my dogs.

Still saying snow and ice in about an hour or so but they have been saying that for the past 12 or more hours. Now it is off to do a little Walmart shopping, drop cookies off at church and come home to watch Navy beat Army or I can wish can't I?

still nothing here but cold weather period but the snow could start anytime they are saying. For anyone who wants a fun day or should we say, interesting day, head for Walmart. I just got back: Holy Cow I think everyone got paid yesterday or got bonus checks whatever. To top it off, if I had taken time I could have taken pictures and won a contest on who is the most outlandish dressed person today. One gal was wearing flip flops and no sweater or jacket.. I think her tatoos kept her warm. She had enough of them.. She had 2 little boys with her, one in P.Js and slippers.

Isn't it interesting, a post started almost 18 months ago was brought back to life early this week by a first time poster who still hasn't posted anywhere but on this thread.
