I was just trying to give a little bit of background on myself so that people don't jump to conclusions and call me a liberal because that wouldn't really be accurate.

She may have had a different experience then. As I said earlier, she probably experienced some culture shock. I don't agree with some of her points, but clearly something has upset her.
That's a nice way of putting. I would agree that my experience of Arkansas from 2004 to 2014 was so radically different that I experienced culture shock. I was so happy and felt so valued, befriended, and welcomed in 2004 that I invested heavily in the state in 2006 until just recently.

I would not consider investing in the state today and I realize that people don't want to hear that, but Arkansans have a right to know why they don't have the economic prosperity they MIGHT have if out of state investors weren't so turned off. Arkansans need to start asking their elected officials, "What are you doing to attract jobs to the state?" Awkward question.

Arkansas needs to put the vibe out there that the state is aware it can be intolerant at times, but it is working on it. I don't think the state is willing to do that. The state vibe is the current Republican vibe, i.e., "We are always, always, always 1000% right!"

China is interested in Arkansas soybeans and pine trees, I suppose. But, it is a very unequal relationship. China says "Jump!" and Arkansas asks, "How high?"

And speaking of conservatism, any idiot can put death row inmates to death faster and more efficiently while further restricting a woman's right to a clean and safe abortion. It takes a real STATESMAN to clean up corrupt, old boy politics while attracting high paying jobs to the state. Arkansas needs more tolerance and sophistication.

Before you try to tell me go share my Arkansas opinions on a politics board, please remember that vicious politics is one reason good people choose to leave beautiful Arkansas.

I'm gonna go indulge in my hobby now

I think I speak for the majority of the participants in here when I say you've made your point and we really wish you'd just go away.

Lets see what if I can interpret you are saying Coco. By your snide remarks, you seem as if you are a forgiver of death row inmates even though they are in that position for their murderous crimes. Obviously, none of which has been directed at your family. Perhaps one day you will have a bit more personal contact with such a criminal.

You also seem to be in favor of the baby murdering scourge called "abortion" or "A woman's right to choose". 60 million babies murdered by folks of your persuasion since ROE V WADE. 60 million dead babies is what STATESMEN have brought upon us. I have no use for such statesmen. President Lincoln spoke of God's judgement with regards to the civil war. He believed the judgement to be related to the evil of slavery, which at that time was an approximate population of 4 million. If true, I hope to never witness His judgement for the murder of 60 million (and growing) babies.

You are obviously a liberal based on what you have exposed of yourself. I can see how you may not have enjoyed your AR experience. While I agree that more tolerance is warranted. Democrats have proven to be a less than tolerant political party. Oh, and you can take your sophistication and put it where the sun don't shine. Like the Beverly Hillbillies, you may want to load up your truck and head for sunny California where democrats are building the Utopian society. Your sophistication will be appreciated in CA.

Maybe California would be the place for you I'll bet you would fit right in. Don't lit the door hit you in the butt on the way out of Arkansas.

What in God's green earth made you bring up abortion and the death penalty for heaven's sake? I am sure you have gone on now, to a different thread and probably using a different screen name. Regardless, people are not leaving AR for better places because of politics or for any other reason. The state is growing, slowly but it is growing.

Hope you did go and indulge in your hobby after you posted that rant. I can only imagine what your hobby might be.
