Does anyone have any experience with the camps in the area known as Albert Pike? The Little Missouri River runs through it and I've been once and liked it. Do any of you have camps in that area not far from Mount Ida?

Largely forgotten today, Pike, who was not an Arkansas native, was a very controversial figure in his time:

Yes, I think he was a confederate hero of some sort. There is an area named for him that i would like to gather info about experiences living in that vicinity.

The campground closed in 2010 after a flash flood killed 20 people. The area is extremely remote but beautiful. According to this report the campground has reopened for day use.

Day use only.. but if you take the drive to glen wood, you can camp on the river their and canoe/kayak the caddo river. Just as nice.
