I live in Mena and every so often there's a woman with 5 dogs standing at the entrance to Walmart asking for food and a ride to Fort Smith. The word is that she makes the trip back and forth from Mena to Fort Smith. Does anyone have any experience with this person. I'm just trying to find out if she is legit, or not. Does she need help or is this her 'job'.

Will be interesting the response you get to this. My guess and that is all it is: a guess, she is not for real and makes her living by pan handling for a lack of a better word.

That's what I'm thinking too. A few here have been giving her money and food. I can't figure the 5 dogs. One for protection and/or companionship, ok. But 5?.....
