So is Arkansas going to legalize recreational marijuana anytime soon?

You smokin' something ? You're talking about AR here, a place that still has how many dry counties ?
Look at the map, AR has more dry counties than anywhere in the country. I couldn't imagine a THC product being legalized in AR in my lifetime....too much religious opposition.

They’ll probably do it at some point in the near future, if it’s not a nationwide thing before then.
Dry counties are just a formality in modern times.
The influx of transplants and the general relaxing of attitudes in the larger culture have had their impact.
While I don’t necessarily agree with criminalizing everything, I don’t think it’s wise to make recreational drug use socially acceptable either, but what’s a government to do..

Oh my, how you brought back bittersweet memories!!

In 2005, Louisiana was devastated by 2 hurricanes. I spent some time in New Orleans doing search and rescue, body recovery, and went to Mississippi for a few days. Worked in a center collecting and sorting supplies near Waveland. Had to depart from Waveland when Rita was near the Florida Keys.

2 days later, I was with my family in Arkansas. My dad loved his beer. I remember going ride with him to go get beer in another county. Our relationship was rocky before. We had talked and after that we became close.

Just had to share that memory of my dad. Whenever I hear about a dry county, this memory comes to me.
