For the outdoors, out west can't be beat, but you pay a premium for it.
That does make sense then.

North Carolina actually has a fair amount going on. There's pro sports teams, and a lot of colleges, so you have a pretty cultured, fairly liberal feel.

But in any case, I was just trying to figure out why someone would zero in on Arkansas and you explained it.

I think you are misunderstanding the OP. She isn't just picking a place out of thin air. She has done research and is tying to get ideas. Maybe she has researched other places as well. I am not sure what you know about AR, especially the NW area, but it appears not much. Did you know we have one of the best art museums around right here in NWA and did you know we have 3 major corporations located right here? What makes you think we do not have a cultural feel about throughout the area. Are you aware of the diversity that exists here? As for liberal feeling, how much do you know about NC versus NWA when it comes to politics and are you aware it is a pretty strange thing for a college town not to be liberal? Because the OP is thinking Fayeteville, she is thinking a liberal city. That is just what Fayetteville is.. I am not getting what you seem to be talking about or thinking about AR? Especially in NWA, a very large number of residence come from other states and countries; many are very well educated; some are not, just like most states in the country. Have you even traveled to AR?

Like most posting here, we rarely agree with Sub because he has a very slanted view of the area, but at least he has not only visited but has lived here in the past.

Listen.

I just asked why someone would pick Arkansas out of the blue and another poster explained why.

What do you want me to do? Apologize?

I apologize...

Have a good one...

Don't take it personally, we just get a lot of people who like to come in here for the sole purpose of spreading hate and disinformation, and they usually pretend to be asking innocent questions. In some circles, they think it is a sport to attack us, while staying just inside the rules. (That is why I gave the response in post number 2 for this thread.)

You seem to be the real deal, inquisitive, but with a big gap in your knowledge that you wanted to fill. Kinda refreshing, but so unusual that it makes us look for an ulterior motive.

That is exactly as I took it; with no knowledge of the state except what one has read and then comes on with ideas that are not accurate makes us wonder why a poster would post? jobaba, maybe had your wording been little less negative we would not have taken your statements the way we did.

Ok.

I apologize for that as well.

Have a good day today...

Sometimes it is impossible to be certain, other times you have to look at their posting history, as I did with someone on a different thread a couple days ago. In fact, I have gotten into a bit of a habit of checking the histories of people who post here, until I know them. (And I have gotten quite good at it.)

To be honest, I just posted some garbage because I couldn't fall asleep, same as today.

It seems silly to me that this little side conversation has gone even as far as it has, but, that's human nature...

I think he meant he never knew about all the outdoorsy stuff to do until the internet arrived...then information about it was easier to find.

I often do the same and quite often there is a pattern they follow.
