You CANNOT go by the numbers they are giving. AR dept of health admitted they were only able to test 20 people a day (in a state with 3.1 million people)

Just saw that West Virginia, not exactly a modern state, already has drive thru testing in 5 places. Their population is only 1.1 million.

This is like living in Haiti......and I've been to Haiti.

IF and WHEN they test the #s for AR will go way up.

South Korea was testing 10,000 people a day, not 20. Gov of AR announed they might could do 400 tests by next week. In a state with 3.1 million......and I am not seeing any drive thrus like in West Virginia.

On march 11th the totals for the positive in the United States were 973.
Today, exactly 7 days later, it's already up to 9,028. In just 7 days.

What is the problem here? Why are we in the 19th century

THere is no food problems. Because there are no distribution or trucking problems. Nor disruption of service. The trucks come daily and 3 hours later, everything is gone. Still can't buy any isopropyl alcohol.....

I think your info is a little outdated now. I received word that even our little health system in Newton Co could get a test for anyone that is showing symptoms.

The high uptick in positive cases is mostly due to testing. They will continue to go up quickly for every state over the next few days.

There is still little to no testing in Illinois. By my estimates, the infection rates are off by 200% or more. That is based on a realistic fatality rate of 1.5%. Look at what is happening in Europe and extrapolate.

And there are those whose symptoms are so mild that they aren't even seeking medical care so no test.

Uh, no.

This is the updated information I received today, from the health department and our governor's speech.

You can go by what ever numbers you want to, but you aren't providing answers, or even asking legitimate questions. You are just whining. The rest of us don't live in the 19th century, don't know why you seem to think you do. If you were in the 19th century, you wouldn't even know there was a pandemic in progress.

A legitimate question is: when do you think we will begin to see drive through testing stations in AR, or home testing kits available? Current answer is "I don't know. When I find out, I will let you know."

I am worried not because of the lack of, or the greater standard of the medical system, but of the denial of some people to not take this seriously. If the people do not do what the experts are saying the virus will over take more folks and, like you, I am in the elderly range. We better pay attention.

A week later and it looks like Louisiana has been one of the hardest-hit states on a per-capita basis with nearly 300 cases, 2/3rds of them being in New Orleans.

Well, this I can agree with.
