I have been paying close attention to everything the governor has said. I am not sure you have every detail quite accurate. Maybe I am wrong. We all interpret things differently. And we also know, the mild cases do go unnoticed just like many mild illnesses. This isn't anything unusual.

As for the trucks coming daily: talk to some stores, this isn't the case, by any means. For some products yes, for many they have deliveries only every few days.

As for AR being like a 3rd world country or like Haiti, talk abut over reaction!! You must have missed your calling: you may have been a good fiction writer, you have a great imagine.

Not surprising, I talked with my sister in law on the phone a couple days ago and she said since Mardi Gras, she's been sick battling a cough. Dr treated it as an upper respiratory infection and the meds did nothing for her.

Well from what I'm hearing from local medical offices is that they have tests for those who are suspected with coronavirus.

But like I said earlier, those with mild symptoms will probably not be tested. I know I don't run to the dr. for every cold symptom and I probably wouldn't now. I would just stay home and take precautions in case it was the virus.

of course you are right on. Our granddaughter is a nurse practitioner at a large facility here in NWA and says pretty much the same thing.

As expected, large cities like New York are being hit the hardest with new cases. I think it will be much easier to contain in more sparsely populated areas which is most of AR.

Just saw that West Virginia, not exactly a modern state, already has drive thru testing in 5 places. Their population is only 1.1 million.

This is like living in Haiti......and I've been to Haiti.

IF and WHEN they test the #s for AR will go way up.

South Korea was testing 10,000 people a day, not 20. Gov of AR announed they might could do 400 tests by next week. In a state with 3.1 million......and I am not seeing any drive thrus like in West Virginia.

On march 11th the totals for the positive in the United States were 973.
Today, exactly 7 days later, it's already up to 9,028. In just 7 days.

What is the problem here? Why are we in the 19th century

THere is no food problems. Because there are no distribution or trucking problems. Nor disruption of service. The trucks come daily and 3 hours later, everything is gone. Still can't buy any isopropyl alcohol.....
Actually, West Virginia has 1 drive-thru testing in place. In Parkersburg, WV. The WVU has four more planned.

https://wvumedicine.org/news/article...-for-covid-19/

And Arkansas has a drive-thru testing site as well.
https://uamshealth.com/location/covi...hru-screening/

And as WalMart and others gear up, we will have more as needed.

We ventured out to WalMart a few hours ago and although nothing like Sams last Thursday, it was pretty crowded but not many were actually hording. I only saw one gal that really pissed me off: they are out of eggs except for the $5 dozen ones and only had about 3 dozen. I did pick one up, but what pissed me off was a gal in front of me. She grabbed the last 4 dozen regular priced eggs even though she could see others waiting to buy a dozen. Hope she enjoyed each one of them.

I'm going to stay away from walmart for a couple weeks at least. I am finding my smaller local stores have more in stock and less people I'd like to punch.

I'm sort of thinking outloud here but I'd like others to add in their thoughts.

This is a virus that is mostly deadly to a small segment of the population. Yes, there are outliers, but it's been shown to be mostly mild to the majority and some will never know they have it. However, the old, weak, and sick are vulnerable and it can be deadly.
We have shut down our country, sent kids home from school, crashed the stock market, put people out of work who have zero income now, it will kill lots of small businesses who will never recover, instilled panic in many........ is it worth it vs having let it run it's course while taking precautions like we would to avoid the flu and other viruses? Is the cost worth the lives that will be saved since we will still have many dead.

I know there's no answer to this right now and we won't really know till we're on the other side, but how will it be on the other side? Will we began booming with business and prosperity or will it be another great depression?

Agree: we only did WalMart cause hubby had to get some cartridges. We would rather have tried one of the smaller stores like Harps. I prefer not to run my sometimes snotty mouth off and as you way, people in the smaller stores seem to be a little more pleasant.
