As I understand it, if you don't have insurance, they just write off the cost, or bill the government, but if you have insurance, you need to have the info ready so they can bill your insurance.

You don't have to be a flat earther, or other kind of virus denier, to wonder if the vaccine is worth taking. The pandemic is winding down, but will be around for quite a while yet. You have to balance the minor risk of taking the shot with the less likely chance of getting the virus. But if you get the virus, the virus carries a much higher risk.

As an odds maker, if you have comorbidity or such you might want to go ahead and call them to ask if you need documentation. Or just go get the documentation. Else give it a few more weeks and you should be able to get the vaccine without the documentation.

I don't find his rant as odd as where he chose to rant.
Unless he knows that a few of us are quite adept at dealing with the government.
I worked for the government for 34+ years, and still find them frustrating.
Well, never fear. Tomorrow night, Biden will take credit for how wonderfully it rolled out. LOLOLOLO

I wish the term "COVID vaccine" would go away. A vaccine is something that prevents you from getting a disease, not the case with the COVID shot. It would more properly be called a glorified flu shot.

The covid vaccine has a high efficacy rate. It will likely prevent you from getting covid, and even more likely prevent you from having to be hospitalized or dying from covid. It is definitely not a glorified flu shot.

Actually a vaccine is something that trains the body's immune system so it can fight a disease it has never come in contact with before. So Covid Vaccine is accurate. No vaccine is 100% effective.

Hope you got your shot(s).

There is an epidemic of panic and authoritarianism in Europe, as the few cases they have are over running their severely handicapped (by socialism) medical system.

In the weeks since this, the "Delta" variant emerged. More on it, later.

Of course, a mutation could set us back a bit, and the K484Y mutation is worth watching, but I still don't see any evidence of a real resurgence, and I think any up-tic's will pass. Note that I said "I don't see any evidence." Next Wednesday, that could change.
In the past two months the E484K mutation (the above was a misremembering of the number) has been supplanted by the L452R. Most of you will know it as "Delta" variant.

65.75%

Over the six weeks after I began to use that formula, we went from there to about 78% of herd immunity. Now that formula is already reaching the end of its useful life.

The "Delta" variant throws a wrench into the mix, but it isn't a total wash.

I did a "reverse engineering" analysis on the new variant, and already know the rules.

New symptoms, new attack profile, much higher infection rate.
But, even though it is more likely to make people sick, it shouldn't kill any more of them.

In the mean time, there is a pandemic of panic, driven by politics and the media, and that pandemic of panic knows no bounds (and no morals or ethics, either.)
