Any Bella Vista residents here? I'm strongly considering a move there and would appreciate some input or suggestions of things to consider. I've searched previous discussions on this forum, and many of them seem to have devolved into discussions of the POA. I think I have a reasonable sense of the upsides and downsides of the POA at this point, so I'd rather we not repeat the POA discussion.

I'm more interested in the specific areas of Bella Vista which you might steer me towards or away from. As I'm checking out properties online, I'm at a disadvantage, because I'm doing it from a distance (I'm in southern MS), and although I get a good sense of the houses, I don't get a good sense of the neighborhoods. I do virtual drives with Google Street, which helps, but those photos are from 2014, so they're out of date for a city that expanding so rapidly.

I haven't visited Bella Vista yet. I plan to do that next week. I did make a recent trip to NWA and felt good about it (neglected to visit Bella Vista, though, so I'll need to return to do that). I like what I've learned of Bella Vista so far, and it suits me better than living in, say, Rogers or Fayetteville. I like all the natural scenery, the lakes, the hundred miles of biking and hiking trails, the amenities, the privacy and seclusion, being out of the urban sprawl, being more in nature, the older community, and the peace and quiet. I'm closing in on 60, and I'm retired. I'm an introvert and have little interest in nightlife, etc., so I think the BV lifestyle fits me better than being in a standard city or college town.

I should mention that I'm looking at homes in the 200-250K range. Although some neighborhoods might be quite nice, chances are that the more upscale places are either out of my price range or too fancy pants for me.

Anyhow, I'm trying to sort out what are good places to live in Bella Vista, and what are places or neighborhoods I should avoid (if any -- so far, everything I've seen looks pretty nice, although some locations look rather isolated on google street).

Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
