I want to move in the country near the mountains or forest away from people. A place where I have to travel to buy groceries. Where there is peace and quiet. I want the opposite from where I live now. I am looking to buy lots of land at a reasonable price. I do not want any neighbors. Do you have any suggestions of where I can go in Arkansas? Thank you.

Skip Arkansas and go to Alaska. The only true wilderness left.

Not true! There are still scattered remote places farther south than AK! You simply may need to travel farther from the end of the road than you want.

OP I'd suggest searching for undeveloped/unimproved acreage. There are realtors that specialize in those sorts of properties. One possible place to start:

You’re better off going to Alaska. Cause in Arkansas you gotta deal with heatstroke in the summer or snakebite. Snakes were everywhere we went. If you want a milder climate check out southeast Alaska.

There are many places in northern/north central Arkansas that meet what you're looking for. Look between Kingston and Mountain View and up to the state line (like drawing a box).

However, land is running very high right now. I do think it will come down within the next year but probably not a low as pre2020 prices.

There are still places in Arkansas that are doable but I think Alaska would be better.

After two years of being in lockdown anti-social mode, I can relate to your desires. Not looking forward to returning to life. One thing I can suggest, there are other countries/cultures where people have compassion and depth, unlike where I am now.

Well, you don't give any specifics, so there may be a few quesions:

Where do you live now?
(Inner city, Houston, Miami, Los Angles, small city, Mayberry, suburb, etc)

Do you have a rural background?
From how long ago?

How much land is "lots of land" and what do you consider a "reasonable price?"

In my world, there is no such thing as "no neighbors."
Wherever you live, the ten families closest to you are your neighbors.
They might be 10 miles apart, or like one fiend of mine
said: "a neighbor is someone who shares a wall."

From a survivalist stand point, I think a population density of 60 people per sq mile is about optimum.
From a cost of living standpoint, I think the optimum is closer to 300 per sq mile.
