Well the football season is thankfully over. Loosing at War Memorial was, at one time, unheard of.

We are hearing the new head coach will be announced any day now. Certainly by the early part of next week. At least that is the rumor, we will see.

Read new football coach is Sam Pittman

Dec. 9 (UPI) -- The University of Arkansas has hired Sam Pittman as its next football coach.
Arkansas announced the hire Sunday. Pittman will take over for the Razorbacks after spending the last four seasons on the staff at Georgia. He is widely regarded as one of the best offensive line coaches and recruiters in the Southeastern Conference.

this was brought home to us big time last night. Just before our typical Christmas eve dinner and unwrapping gifts our son in law passed out and fell to the floor. Long story but ended up being sent to the hospital where he stayed several hours. Needless to say we all pitched in to put the food away that was ready to be served. Christmas gift giving was put aside and we had 4 crying little kids who didn't quite understand what was going on. I asked them why we were giving gifts and all knew it was Jesus' birthday. Then I explained to them, that was more important than their gifts which they would get to open today. All stopped crying and realized there is more to the holiday then their presents.

The good part of this story: 1-Steve is ok and now home: all that showed up was a little irregular heart beat and the kids learned a lesson.

Everyone enjoy today and the rest of the season.
