Yes. The old "dollar movie" theater was at the Phoenix Village Mall. It, of course, has been demolished. This is what is coming in its place:

Nope, sounds like the right place to me. I use to pass by that place every time I head out to OK. There was even a sign that said "Phoenix Mall" but that was torn down when they tore up the ground. But the other stores, like the Dollar store, the wig and nail place are still there.

I'm looking forward to the new development.

I have always been a big fan of Hooters, but I have never really liked that restaurant. We have had one in Fort Smith for a few years now and I haven't went there once.

We are getting this now:

... Freezing Rain Advisory remains in effect until 6 am CST
Thursday...

A Freezing Rain Advisory remains in effect until 6 am CST
Thursday.

* Timing... freezing rain will overspread central Illinois from the
southwest this morning. There may be breaks in the freezing rain
this afternoon and tonight... as freezing drizzle develops from
time to time.

* Ice accumulations... one to two tenths of an inch of ice will
accumulate... with the majority of ice accumulation occurring
during the day today.

* Impacts... untreated roads... bridges... sidewalks... and parking
lots will become ice coated and slippery this morning.
Hazardous travel conditions will continue this afternoon and
overnight... especially from Galesburg... to Peoria... to
Bloomington.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Freezing Rain Advisory means that periods of freezing rain or
freezing drizzle will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.

I saw that weather Dan is using words like ominous for the impending ice storm. I think this is the one year anniversary of the 2009 ice storm. I never will go through that again. Tree limbs cracking, a tree on the house, power out, what a mess. But, to help yall out, I bring you...
