Cool picture!

It's been snowing all day here, but it's been warm enough that it hasn't piled up this time. And it was beautiful waking up in the morning, every tree, every power line, every mailbox, frosted in clean, pure white snow.

YIKES!!!

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A Region 8 student is in trouble with the law after school officials find a loaded gun at school.
It happened at Westside Elementary School.
According to Westside Superintendent Dr. James Best an elementary age school kid brought a loaded gun to school.
Best says another student alerted a classroom teacher around 7:55 Monday morning that another student had a gun at school. The teacher immediately went to the student in question, confronted the student, and the student gave the gun to the teacher.
Dr. Best says within 2-5 minutes the school staff and administrators had possession of the gun, the student in question, and witnesses. Best says the school did not go into lockdown because the incident had been quickly controlled and isolated.
The Craighead County Sheriff's Department was on campus conducting interviews and investigating the incident.
Dr. Best said the child will be punished according to the school policy, but did say the school was still investigating.
This is not the same school of the 1998 Westside shootings, but it is the same school district.
Region 8 News will continue to track this story and bring you the latest information as it becomes available.

Well folks, I've survived my first winter in the mountains of Colorado. I thought it got cold in Fayetteville. This was "wow it's cold" cold. 15 below zero some nights in December. And another snow storm forecast this week, so winter isn't quite over yet. I miss being able to wander over to Baum Stadium and watch some Hog baseball. Yall have a great spring!
