Thinking of Moving down
Im from NE north and I know in Atlanta or other big cities south the diversity is huge and wouldnt be a problem.

If i considered Fayettville and surrounding areas and was in sales, do you think the locals would not do business with me because I dont have the accent or Not from there?

I read some threads in Boise ID with similar situation and after 2 years the guy and his business a service business left

You shouldn't have a problem in Fayetteville. There are people from everywhere here thanks to the Walmart vendors and the university.

If you can sell insurance in New England, you can sell insurance in Fayetteville. No one cares about accents. Half the people in the area are from another part of the country anyway.

most of the "new NWA" is basically like the midwest OKC, Wichita, Springfield, Tulsa, there arent really many southern accents left anymore. You may find a few among the old timers but almost none among the younger generation

Northwest Arkansas is yankee universe...if you get made fun of there for having an accent, it's more likely you have a thick Southern one, haha. Lots of transplants.

I don't really get the OKC being like NWA thing. Maybe in some ways.
