We went there years ago before the cabins were completed. It is just an awesome place! I have always loved the big cats! Going here is truly an education!

It is an awesome place! You can learn about how the animals came to be there. Some of the stories are very sad - but it is good to know that they have a good home and are well taken care of now.

Sonny's Pizza is really good if it's still open. My wife and I haven't been there in 7 years. Sparky's was good also!

In the general vicinity of Eureka Springs.... caves to explore, places to rent a horse to ride, Buffalo River, Thorncrown Chapel. All sorts of stuff to do, if the touristy retail thing in town gets old.

Hubby and I always do the walk about downtown, to the little shops that have EVERYTHING you would want to check out. Sidewalk cafes are all along the route, as well as burger and hot dog joints. We are never disappointed when we go there...we were re-married there in '01 and THAT was a hoot!! The last time we visited, we stayed at the Tree House Cottages....delightfully different!

Don't forget your camera!!!

Sparkys Is the Best place to eat, and they have over 100 kinds of beer. The cresent is interesting. Also just touring the town. It is beautiful. Be sure to check out the gardens at the cresent and praying grounds.

Eureka Springs has so much to do. You won't be disappointed. Take a visit to the Cresent Moon mansion as well, and they have horse drawn carriage rides, and night time jamboree shows. The whole place just feels magical. Love it there!

I've been here for almost a week and wow. I'd been to NW Arkansas once, a long time ago (1995) and thought the area was pretty, didn't get to ES but wanted to check it out sometime. I'm pretty well traveled and hard to impress, but I can't find one single bad thing (other than figuring that peak season traffic in downtown ES probably isn't much fun). This area plus Berryville and Holiday Island are definitely way up on the list for eventual snowbirding and/or retirement. Everyone is no nice even the teenagers. Must be good drugs in the water

What's a good amount of money one would need for a trip to Eureka Springs?

We're considering a trip in June and I'm thinking $600 will be a good amount.
