My husband and I are relocating to Warren, AR. My children are covered under there biological fathers insurance and also my husbands insurance. When we relocate, we will have a three month waiting period for new health insurance. Will my children still be covered under their biological father's insurance if he lives in New York State? Insurance Company will not give me the information because I am not the policy holder and my ex will not corporate. Are there other programs there that we might enroll the children in for that time period? Any feedback would be greatly appriciated.

As far as I know, (I could be wrong, so just correct me anyone) unless their biological father removes them from his plan they will still be covered. However, you will be responsible for any copays or coinsurance charges since you will be without a secondary insurance (your current husband's).
The only way their biological father's insurance would not pay, is if his insurance is not accepted at the given doctor they see. Be sure to check by calling the insurance or care provider before you ever go to the appointment. Better to be safe, than stuck with health care bills!

Good Luck with your transition.

Or if the insurance company won't cooperate with you, tell the doctor who your coverage is with. They will know whether they accept that coverage, and can deal with the insurance company on your behalf.

You and your husband may want to look at a temporary health policy. Most all insurance companies have them, they are inexpensive, and cover major med items for a few months.

That way, if something unforseen occurs that puts you in the hospital, the blow is much softer. If you have assets, you'll want to check that out for sure.
