This has to be one of the most picturesque towns in America. I've seen photos and it's absolutely beautiful.

Is the town as nice in person as it appears to be in pictures? What are the opportunities for employment there?

I was thinking the same thing.. How are the jobs? growth? Are all the places run by long time folks so its hard for new people coming in to get jobs? Is the area building up outside the city?

Cant wait to come visit next month.. I hear I'll get a beautiful color show

That's just a snapshot. The whole city is absolutely beautiful from what I can tell online. It is small, so I guess the employment opportunities are limited, but I'd love to live there.

Eureka Springs is absolutely beautiful, but it depends mainly on tourism, so job opportunities are few and far between unless you are talking minimum wage, which are still hard to find in this economy. It is an awesome place to visit and spend time.

Yes, it is as nice in person as it is in pictures.....nicer, I think. There is a magical feeling in ES, especiall in the fall.

Look at this picture (of my very favorite house in ES) from another thread about ES....positively storybook material!

Just wondering how people can make a living there then. Are there new businesses coming into the area? Are the locals open to new businesses or is it scene as competition only? Do people commute then and live/work else where? I went to the site someone posted.. it was a realtors site.. There were SEVERAL Inns and B&Bs for sale... Is business so slow there people are moving out? Are there a number of houses being foreclosed on in the area?
