They've been planning it for 10-15 years....I would just LOVE to have the orange barrel concession in Arkansas....matter of fact, when they were trying to find something new for the license plate, I believe several people actually submitted Land of the Orange Barrel...whoever invented those must be a rich man by now.

That highway is going to go through my home town. It's going to devistate it. It's got a bad enough economy as it is. That and the government is going to eminent domain my grandfather. Bummer.

Eminent domain...this practice should never happen in the land of Arkansas except in the most aggregious cases of misuse of the land by the landowner. It should be considered an abomination to the very pioneer spirit that IS Arkansas.

I would never disagree on that point, but this may be a case of federal eminent domain since it's tying Louisiana and Texas together - and lord knows we can't say no to the feds...
