CV, BV and HSV are all developed by the same company. I guess cause I live in BV I am partial, but the one thing that would bother me about HSV is the gated community. Isn't CV the same?

OH, BTW to all of us: this posting is over a year old, I bet the OP has made a decision by now.

We've been looking at various areas in Arkansas for several years and hope to retire there next year. Like you, my husband is retired military so would like to have base access reasonably close. While the Bella Vista area is terrific, it is a bit far from a base. We stumbled on, and love, a little community (kind of a miniature replica of Bella Vista) called Fairfield Bay. It started as one of the resort/retirement communities that AR seems to have quite a few of, so has lots of amenities (golf, lake, fishing, motorcycle riding, etc.). It is a bit remote and pretty quiet living,,,so not for everyone. It's about 75 miles north of Little Rock. Another option that might fit you better would be Hot Springs Village. Much larger -- same developer as Bella Vista -- and is actually gated. Pretty nice there; not too far from Hot Springs for shopping, dining, etc. I know they have a very active motorcycle group there. About 45 minutes from Little Rock, so pretty easy base and airport access. I would think medical would be readily available in Hot Springs. Good luck.
