I visited Macau twice in my life, as a kid and as a grownup and wouldn't mind visiting again. I am not a gambler and have absolutely no interest in visiting the casinos. My interests are in the Guia fortress, the ruins of Sao Paolo, St. Paul's, the Macau Museum, the various A-Ma and Guanyin Temples (though you can find these elsewhere Southern Coastal China too), and the yummy Macanese cuisine which is a unique blend of Chinese and Portugurse culture. Did you know that the egg tarts you find in Chinese pastry shops in North American Chinatowns were influenced by Portuguese tarts? That's all because of Macau.

Las Vegas is a city I have no desire of visiting ever. The fact that they surcharge visitors on public bus fare alone irks me. Actually, the bus system I think is privately run but services local residents. Beyond that, it's sprawled, very autocentric, and not family friendly. Vegas more than ever represents the most extreme of adult American culture, the place you leave your kids and scruples behind so you can indulge in sins. The only nearby attraction that could wow me is Boulder Dam. If you're into gambling, strip clubs, grownup partying, wining and dining then Vegas is the place for you but not me.

The city of Macau does have a lot of amazing streets and history...case in point:

They've been banned from entering Macau for the last two years.

The SE Asians (from Malaysia,Singapore,Taiwan,Hong Kong,) HAVE BEEN COMING TO Macao long before Wynn discovered Macao, why should they be banned, never heard of it,
The Chinese from China, not the SE Asians from rest of Asia.

Yeah, Chinese can come in...anyone with the China 'Homecoming' Visa. So yeah, you'll see Taiwan and Singapore. If Chinese-Malay with a China homecoming visa, then yes.

Generally when people say Southeast Asian, the image is of Philippines (blocked from entry), Thailand (blocked), Malaysia (blocked), Indonesia (blocked), Cambodia (blocked).

But yeah, if Chinese descent with access to a China homecoming visa; and they are from wherever in the Chinese-speaking world (i.e. Taiwan, China, Hong Kong), they can come in.

SE Asia covers all the countries you stated, but I doubt many have the means to gamble overseas.
if you are in Macao, you may as well visit HK,and China.
But in Vagas, you may visit the desert.
Las Vegas has become too commercial, they have those massage parlor, sllips scattered all over the place.
But the food is good.a lot of food is wasted in all you can eat buffet

Cambodia, the Philippines, and Singapore all have casinos too....places like the Philippines has a ton of Poker and other western games (blackjack too); that Macau hardly caters too.

Macau is better to play chinese games like baccarat with most minimum bets starting around 500 MOP (US$60).

With US$60 you can play in one of the many Manila poker tournaments and get all day of play, as opposed to most of Macau's minimum bets for 1-minute card flip of Baccarat at US$60 a pop.

I do think that Filipino and Indonesian or whatsover do visit the casinos, but most often while visiting family members or friends who already work in Macau. They'll walk around and take photos, and enjoy the sight-seeing. But the city of Macau does not cater to them at all. They will splurge on a hotel room and they'll try some games out of novelty. But the major consumer of the mostly Chinese games are the Chinese themselves.

You'll predominately see exclusively Chinese playing almost entirely baccarat and other random games of chance like roulette and such. Things like sports betting are largely absent - I don't think there is anything whatsover for world or international sport betting. Poker is largely absent in most of the casinos. The buffets they have are quite expensive. The food courts are almost only Chinese or Chinese derivative cuisines - Taiwanese, Singaporean, Hong Kong cuisines. The occasional Japanese or Korean cuisine will secure a spot in a food court.

Occasionally I'll see something like FatBurger from Texas or once I saw an Indian restaurant in a food court, but they go out of business quite quickly as the China taste isn't so keen on them. Most of the casinos use simplified Chinese (Mainland Chinese script) instead of traditional Chinese (Macau/HK Chinese characters). Most of the casino workers on the floor are studying Mandarin (whereas Macau/Hk speaks Cantonese). I've never heard of any casino studying Vietnamese or Thai or whatsoever. I largely find Portuguese to disappear in the casinos (it's required to be posted by law throughout Macau, but it seems to be an exception for the casinos). While English is prevalent, I feel like English is a lot less when I enter into a casino as opposed to the rest of the city.

That being said, the CITY of MACAU has way more international food, more expats, more diversity, way more English, more everything. But business inside the strip of casinos is largely a China thing. Outside of the casinos, Macau is an entirely different world, and a very cool one. The casinos, ah, not so much. I'd rather fly to Manila for that aspect any day, if I really had a casino hankering.
