West Asia: extremely conservative, don't travel to eg Lebanon looking to get laid, that might actually get you killed.

I'm European, I've to admit that being European is a good thing in race conscious societies such as North East Asia.

If you can't get laid in South East Asia, well, then you're useless, it's the most liberal society I've ever been to regarding interracial dating, outside the western world.
Based on what? How much do you know about Asian culture?

North East Asia includes the most liberal countries in Asia IMO, Taiwan and Hong Kong (yes HK isn't technically a country but it's still like a separate entity), which are the most modernised and westernised in Asia including Singapore (although I kinda see them as part of SE Asia in a way too). Having brothels for tourists does not make a country liberal, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and most of Thailand are still pretty traditional. I think the modern attitude has permeated China, Japan.etc to a greater extent.

South Asia would be easily the MOST conservative of the three. Pre-marital sex, for instance, is pretty much de riguer among modern Koreans, Taiwanese, Chinese, Japanese, Singaporeans, and is fairly common among Thais, Malaysians.etc. It's still pretty taboo in much of India, Sri Lanka.etc. This is what I hear from my Indian/Sri Lankan friends. And let's not even get started on Muslim Pakistan or Bangladesh.

this **** is hilarious...you do know Japan is the only country where porn is legal...the country where middle class japanese women chase after western men(regardless of race-black/mexican/indian)..

yet somehow they are less liberal then SEAsia....in Vietnam where people have grown up with confucious values.....in the Philippines the catholic church controls much of how people live...you think the catholic church is liberal??

lol westerners have gained a stereotype of being slobby and immoral in southeast asia thanks to people with your views

Westerners can't try to classify Asian countries with Western ideas of 'conservative' and 'liberal.' For a start, the 'conservative' religion in many Asian countries is Buddhism, not Christianity, which is already different. But if you mean conservative in it's truest sense, even in many seemingly Western Asian countries conservatism still persists. Vietnam is very family-orientated, and I think that's generally a good thing, although there are downsides to this. Despite what the government does it is Singapore, closely followed by Hong Kong, which in my opinion is the most 'western' in terms of the people's lifestyles, thinking, attitudes.etc. Many Singaporeans pretty much live as people in the West do, with the added advantage of having a lot of great Asian food, and also having the added familiarity of Asian culture. This will extend into dating. Singaporeans date pretty much like those in the West do (with exceptions, traditional Indian families for instance might be more conservative, or Muslim Malays) and added to the fact there are tons of Westerners in Singapore working or on holiday, the sight of a white or black person doesn't elicit the same degree of curiosity as it might in say much of China, Korea, Japan.
