I have never travelled to Asia before. I am wondering which airline those of you who travel there frequently prefer, and why.

Emirates & Qatar are fabulous airlines if they have a route for you. Otherwise, Singapore and Cathay Pacific are outstanding. I have preferred Asiana over Korean airline in my experience.
Flying only a couple of times is not a good enough sample size, but I found EVA and ANA to be very good. I quite often don't even remember which line I flew on.
But I once had to change a ticket on Emirates and they only charged me $75,, quick easy and no fuss, so they won a lot of points just for that. And I had a lot of other positive experiences with Emirates, both in the air and on ground, plus a flight with a free stopover in Dubia, so I'm voting for Emirates.

Yeah Garuda is the only best plane in Indonesia, even the world is always the top 10 best aircraft, but Garuda always had losses because of the high price of the plane ticket
BTW , cabin crew Garuda Indonesia flight is always number 1.. in my opinion that I often observe about the Garuda Indonesia Crew :
1. Stewardess Garuda are very friendly
2. Uniform stewardess that make it look fashionable and pretty
3. Great Service
I much prefer competent experienced flight crew than girls looking like painted dolls, as they do on Emirates.
Regardless, Cathay and Singapore are our favourites. Cathay flies smaller planes to here, which I prefer.
budget Garuda Indonesia are very expensive ( both that made in boeing or airbus ) to economic, business and first class. This is probably because the state-owned aircraft is prioritized but often suffered a loss on domestic flights, because the habits of indonesian people like to board planes at low prices make Lion Air become the top 1 for domestic flights that are in high demand but different for International flights Garuda always become top or in demand
