I have been to both-they are both good destinations but I would probably choose Tokyo

I've lived in Seoul and Japan for many years. Both are interesting.

I'd probably say Tokyo is a bit more interesting, but you couldn't go wrong either way. I love Seoul as well.

Both are good, but I would go with Tokyo. Personally, I prefer Osaka over the both of them.

I live in Osaka now, and lived in Seoul for many years. I've also been to Tokyo many times. I much prefer Osaka as well.

If I were a tourist though, maybe Tokyo would be the best 'city'...however, most people who visit Osaka, also combine Kobe and Kyoto and Nara...and that combination of different cities certainly makes the Kansai region the most interesting region, in my opinion.

I lived in Tokyo a year, so I can say it's incredible. But I've never been to Seoul, so I would actually choose it.

What are you looking for out of each city. That'll help make it easier to pick.

I love Osaka. My wife learned the hard way about their takoyaki. Her dad forgot to warn her, she is used to Tokyo style.

Prefer Toyko over Seoul. But I would recommend going to more places in China rather than either Tokyo or Seoul.
