I'm planning to visit each country, just for one day. I think I can see enough in a 24-hour period with each place. But, what exactly would people recommend to see and do?
If you have personal experience, I'm definitely looking to hear that. But, I'll definitely take second hand knowledge as well on this one!
Kuwait:
1) Grand Avenues - the new "Rodeo Drive". (and indoor and airconditioned!).
2) Mabarikya Soukh (the reconstructed outdoor (but covered) bazaar) - closest thing to old Arabia in post-oil Kuwait
3) Kuwait Towers (the national symbol)
4) Camel racing (if holding) at stadium west of town out in the desert. Can go right down to pet the camels and congratulate the winners
5) Liberation Tower - high for views and piccies
6) It's faux-beduin camping time for rich Kuwaities to return to their roots and camp out in the desert. If you meet any Kuwaiti's and make friends ask them if they have a campsite. Might be primitive camping, might be with generator, large-screen TV, dune buggies, dirt bikes etc. Had a big rainstorm so picturesque lakes in desert south of town at present.
PS I'm here now on an oilfield project. Give me a holler when you get their and I'll show you around a little if I'm not in the field.

VERY COOL!
I'm going to visit just for a day. I don't think there is enough to see more than a day, but basically that's my plan. Unfortunately, it's during a weekday. So, you might be at work on that day. I'll PM you later.
Nontheless, thanks for the great list, I'm definitely going to research all of those a little further!
I'm going to Bahrain for one day, and skipping Kuwait. I replaced it with Jordan for a day instead.
Why only one day in Jordan? Jordan deserves at least 5 days, if you have time. Far more to see than Bahrain and Kuwait.
