What about cows?! Do we see the indians making international pressure for the western world to stop killing cows?

If your argument is going to be "but they are such an intelligent creature, it should be stopped" ... well then what about PIGS!?

We eat and slaughter pigs every day by the millions and we don't see many people advocating for them... and nonetheless a PIG is considered one of the most intelligent creatures on the planet only AFTER humans and chimps ...

AS LONG, as the species is not endangered then I don't see nothing wrong... which by the way the dolphin is not an endagered species except for the Ganges river dolphin and some other I don't recall.

Most meat is going to go for consumption, it's not only for sport but it goes to the food industry as well.

I don't know if the method used is cruel or not, but most people aren't voicing against the supposely cruelty of the act but much more so of the fact of killing a dolphin.

Would it help if they killed the dolphins in a less cruel way? My bet would be that even so, there would be voicing against it just because it's an anmal that the Western world is not accustomed to see as part of their food chain, and therefore has a higher emotional connection towards it.
People are great hypocrites. That's just the way we are. There is such a fuss here in Western Australia because 7 people have been killed by sharks in the last couple of years. I would say all these people were aware of the risks of going into the water and know that sharks are active around the West Australian coast. The West Australian Government is now using drumlines and has already killed a shark. Yet people are everyday killing other people and some of this is deliberate violence but we don't cull these dysfunctional people from our midsts.

We can't even leave the ocean alone but have to make everything suit us even though it will most likely be detrimental in the long term. I wish people weren't so mindless and think they have the right to kill whatever other animals inhabit the planet. I just think we will reap what we sow.

Well said. I see the old attitudes of trying to 'tame' nature remain...

People hunt elk, deer, moose, bears and other animals in America purely for 'sport'. Why aren't you protesting about that? Why don't you protest about 'Duck Dynasty' which promotes the duck-hunting? You think Ducks should be killed for the entertainment? People who use 'emotional activism' are never going to convince Japanese people. It would only supply the fuel for Japanese nationalism among the masses. How Americans would react if foreigners demand Americans to stop hunting animas? They would probably have a fit.

I don't understand how people kill animals for sport. I really don't get that mentality at all. I can understand for food but not for sport.
