How many people in Singapore are PR without Singaporean citizenship?
How many people in Singapore are not citizens or PR?
Where do most non-citizens come from?
And what are the reasons for many people without citizenship living in Singapore?

This is because of our government encourages it overseas despite public resentment locally ..

Another thing is that Singapore is attractive to people overseas that's why they come.. It won't help if we allow people to come in but it is not attractive to others.

But i dont know how true it is, but because public hate is getting bad it will slow down starting from now..

From a true blue born, bred, studied , working and living in Singapore Singaporean.

I dont think anyone can say it better than i do unless you are one too..

The official figures for people in Singapore who are PRs without citizens is about 40+% as you mentioned, but the feeling from the ground is it is around there..

Most non citizens come from China, India, Phillipines.. White expats are increasing but still not that commonplace

There are a lot. The latter often work as domestic workers. Many now from Burma, vietnam, bangladesh etc too.

To us, Malaysian are regarded as good as Singaporeans though they hold Malaysian passport.. They get the same salary packages as Singaporeans do.. Not more not less in general.. Unlike those from China and Indian who generally get less and the white expats who obviously get expat packages..

Indonesias are much lesser in numbers compared to Indians or PRCs, the numbers are probably quite close to the number of Fillipinos here and if you ask me whether there are more Fillipinos or Indonesias.. I am not sure to be honest.

That is not a high number. After all, Singapore is just a city. Of course it is easier to have a high percentage of foreigners in a city with 5 million people than in a country with 320 million people. You just need less people to get there.

It's pretty much the only developed place around. Japan won't let anybody in. Singapore, on the other hand, evidently does encourage immigration.

Come on. Now I know thats not true. I have heard many times Singaporeans criticize a bad driver and immediately assume they must be Malaysian. Most of the time they are correct, but still its not about that, its about the way its said. All the Singaporean Malay I know (which are many) are very careful to point out that Malaysians are very different and do not consider themselves bumiputera even though Malaysia considers them to be.

Although I should also state that they don't seem to view Malaysians as negatively as they do Indonesians, Indians or Chinese. I can almost see them gag when they hear Chinese speaking with a harsh "mainland" accent but a Malay spoken with a kelantan accent is "funny".

But Malaysian are paid the same kind of salary that locals do.. That shows we do not put them more superior or worse than us

When we hire Malaysians we do not need to pay levy.. Unlike other nationalities ..

Singapore as a developed country should have a stricter immigration policy instead.
