So yes, everyone around here know about this story. Don't matter how hard Vietnamese trying to claim relationship with the Dai/Tai(ethnic majority of Laos/Thailand/South-western China) no one will ever believe it but yourselves.
Dear Enzio,

I notice that you seem to ignore my posts. Maybe you can't argue against what I said ?

Enzio, from what I read, Tai-Kadai speakers share the same halogroup as AustroAsitics (Khmers, Vietnamese and the likes), and the fact that their ancient costumes and culture were similar prove your ancient history with them . Only after Han Chinese came and disrupted your shared connection

Proof don't lie.

Smart people can judge

Vietnamese people never care about Tai/Dai people enough to seek a relationship with them. They are poor, uneducated mountain minorities living in remotes places of Northern Vietnam. It is they who wish to be assimilated into Vietnamese society and to be seen as equals. I only mention them with Vietnamese just to show how ironic and desperate you sound when you want your Thai-Siamese to be seen as 'pure' Tai.

Chinese and Japnese are genetically very different from one another....

Northern Chinese would be could to the Korean, Southern Chinese would be close to the Tai-Kadai/Dai/Tai(majority of Laos and Thailand). But yet both Southern Chinese and Northern Chinese are very different from Japanese.

Show me where the 'pure' Tai are. It seems even Northern Thai have Mon-Khmer/Malay-Austronesian/Chinese ancestry.

Dear Enzio;

Based on the dot map you posted above, you can see that less than half of the Thai dots match Chinese dots, the rest of the Thai dots match...Filipino dots or lie all the way out further This map again proves your Austronesian genes. Han Southern Chinese people are shorter, tanner, double lids, now you know the reason why southern chinese don't look the same as northern chinese

According to this genetic map, even Dai people (the people you aspire to be) are closer to Cambodians and Malaysians then they are to Northeast Asians. I wonder where Thai people would be? In all likelihood, it would be between Dai and Cambodian but probably closer to Cambodian.

In case you were wondering 'what is that crosshair'? That's where a Vietnamese person tested to be.

What exactly are these maps measuring anyway?? There are a million ways to measure supposed genetic relatedness/difference...

Dear Aromesaveir,

Why do you need to post the obvious?

The map is generated using autosomal data produced by 23andMe, a company that does genetic testing and ethnicity matching. Do you disagree with it? It seems pretty accurate to me.

I don't know how it works, I guess it seems pretty plausible though.
