Considering it is an illegal invasion of a sovereign country, resulting in so many death and social unrest, as well as rise of terrorist groups, without finding any evidence of so called mass destruction weapon, can Iraq sue the US and UK governments for the war crime on international court?

I mean, if Germany can be brought to the international military tribunal for trial, why can't the US?

International criminal law doesn't work on a country v. country basis, only natural persons can be prosecuted.

oh brother..
yeah yeah sure there is the International Court of Justice in The Hague. It's a joke. Every tin pot dictator and flea bitten country in the world takes action against the US for each and every perceived greveance, real and imagined. Stand in line and take a number, they will be subsequently ignored like all the rest of these crackpots (and rightfully so).

I know that you posted this primarily because of the SCS ruling, but actually, yes, as an American, I'm totally fine with Iraq suing the US/UK gov'ts for waging a baseless war that destroyed the place.

That said, they've gotten billions upon billions of American dollars since then, as well as rebuilt infrastructure, military aid, etc. I wonder if they would count that towards the ruling?

you remove the government of a sovereign country by force, resulting in tens of thousands of civilian death, rise of terrorism, total collapse of the economy, then plant a pro-west government, and say let's forget the past, since we are helping you build infrastructure?

what a sweet deal. I wish Germany was treated the same nice way.

I don't think Iraq need American dollars. Why not just leave Iraq and the Middle East alone from now on, oh wait, they won't.

then sue Bush. I am sure there are a lot of "individuals" that can be sued as war criminals. Do?

Reparation? who decided the terms? the UN or the US itself?
