Piggybacking off what another poster said in my other thread, I am amazed, saddened, and trouble by the fact that the world tolerates and allows the N. Korean dictatorship free reign to carry out it's atrocities.
This day in age I can't grasp my head around an entire country cut off from the world. No internet, no tv, no radio, no nothing. (in relation to outside news and happenings)
I can't believe that N. Korea is allowed to basically starve and oppress and entire population.
The world should grow some balls and give Mr. Kim 2 options
1) Step down from power
2) Die or go to jail
Mr. Kim is not stupid. He knows there would be no way to survive a war with the World. Any sane man is gonna cut his losses and choose life / freedom in this scenario. You might have to be stern and even initiate the extraction, but after it is clear the world means business he will abide imo.
-China likes them.
-Also it's a sovereign country and it's none of anybody's business to get in and tell Kim Jong-un to die.
-It would mean war that will engulf the region, that includes major hubs such as Seoul, Tokyo and Beijing.
-NK might have nukes.
-South Sudan, Syria, annexation of Crimea..?? Why are those tolerated. Same here.
Lol.. you tell that to the people in DC and UN.
Truth is, the world is fine with North Korea being the way it is.
It is a moral and ethical inconvenience but they are not causing much trouble besides the once in a while missile tests.
Nobody is goin to risk billions of dollars to clean up a mess that doesn't really concern them.
It's up to the North Koreans themselves to revolt, which is slowly happening because of, funnily enough, usb stick imports from China that has South Korean dramas on them.
Previously they were told that South Korea is poorer than North Korea that needs to be liberated from the evil Americans, but watching the dramas they see that that is not the case.
Change has to come from the inside, not from the outside.

NK's can get South Korea radio stations as well...
Who knows, I wonder if revolt even in a regime as oppressive as NK is possible? I mean a few highly ranked sabatouers and who knows?
N. Koreans have no weapons to revolt with nor the outside help / funding like other countries in the past. They would get mowed down in a hail of gunfire.
And really, Koreans have to be the most passive and anything but violence people I have ever encountered.
I wouldnt hold your breathe on that revolt / revolution. Only hope is that some Generals get together and can somehow convince enough of the army to do a take over.
Later on. The initial movement came from within. Was it a Tunesian fruit seller who died that angered an entire region? There was a tipping point, and that needs to come from within for any outside power to interfere.
