Exactly my point so why worry if she is from the Philippines be it as a domestic worker or nurse or if she is a domestic worker or nurse who grew up next door?

I wouldn't call them golddiggers. Some are really still looking for love. And some really do love or learn to love their fiances before tying the knot. Who are we to judge that a Filipina maid is not a good match for an American truck driver?

Actually, the women are often on the shorter end of the stick. The Law of Supply and Demand dictates that it is not easy for these women to find a younger guy because there are actually more women than there are available white princes (at least those who are really looking for marriage). Add to that visa/immigration processes that take years and no divorce allowed in the Philippines. Sorry to be politically incorrect, but the women also know that their expiry date is short. It is easier for the 60-year old white guys to find women under the age of 30 than it is for a 40-year-old woman to find a guy at any age. That is why this thread is kind of odd. As it has been mentioned before, the question is more what is stopping these white "princes" from leaving these women?

I always like to highlight the no divorce , unless you married a Muslim man under Sharia Law portion of the Family Law. That means that by the time a woman is in her early thirties there are few local men, available. Practically speaking widowers or the questions are asked just as they are here. Why is he so old and never married? So her options become being a mistress, a girlfriend to a seperated man and never able to get right with the church or live alone

Because you're not dating/marrying your domestic worker or nurse?

"A" does not make "my. "Men date domestic workers from next door, most infact are married. Men date RNs most in fact are married. The forces which keep a relationship together no matter where her hometown is are identical

Curious that I don't hear you mention "Love" anywhere in your sentence.

And you've completely lost me. I think you've veered way off the original point - What's to stop the mail ordered bride from running away? I'm not talking about domestic workers/RNs. Let's focus on the topic shall we?

Ok. So what you're saying is this: these women are desperate and they have next to zero marriage prospect at home. So they latch on to whichever white men with some money that show interest in them.

But then it begs the question: they could just as easily latch on to black men, Hispanic men, Asian men; don't they? It could be that white men are just more prevalent on those Filipina dating sites.

It's not just that, either. The Philippines, like Latin America and Asia, prize white skin as beautiful. Darker skinned Filipinas are practically never going to get the attention of a white skinned Filipino or other Asian (except rural Korean farmers, apparently). It's like stepping down in status, and marrying a white guy would be stepping up in status.

Um unless a woman is obese or deformed it's impossible for her to be desperate.

These women want a Western white man due to 1) better life for themselves and their family 2) White skin is more attractive to them 3) They want mix babies which generally are quite attractive compared to non mixed babies

A black or latino man (assuming he lived in a developed country) would have zero problem getting a Pinay wife. It just wouldnt be her preference most likely.
