Pretty old news... It's been around since the 1990's and almost a daily occurrence in Chinese cities. Must be slow news day at CNN.

Reading the CNN is one (stupid) thing, reading an ancient news on the CNN and make a big deal of it is a while new thing.

Here in Toronto, a bunch of hardcore NIMBYs are protesting against a 4 story building in midtown, about 1km from a subway station because it may "affect their property value".

Yeah, make those townhouses into affordable subsidized section 8 housing like we have here in many of the US cities and bring some "diversity" into the neighborhood. Then, those busy body nimby neighbors will be wishing they didn't make a stink about the 500K townhouses...
