In the last 150 years, Japan took the reign because of China's severe internal weakness. This is now being corrected and of course the Japanese are very annoyed with this.
I should also add if the Japanese want the Chinese to shut up about WWII, perhaps they should stop trying to assist the US in containing China. What right do they have to interfere in the South China Sea or Taiwan disputes? Until Japan abrogates its alliance with the US and force the US to withdraw its military, there will not be any peace between China and Japan.

You are right. Japan has no business in the SCS. It's just a dog working for the US, quite obviously.

Is it because what Japan did was any better than Germany? No, IMO it was only worse and more cruel. Is it because the victims were Asians, instead of the Jews who have a louder voice in the US congress? You really have to think what has caused the difference. The white dominated world and the press simply care more about the white Jews than the Asians they aren't familiar with.
Oh, please. Stop whining.

You realize that the cold war started immediately after the end of WWII? Nobody likes the fact that the Japanese weren't held more accountable for their atrocities. But, the different treatment was deemed a necessity in the policy of containing the spread of communism in Asia.

You cannot on the one hand accuse the US of racism for not holding Japan as accountable as Germany was and on the other hand accuse the US of racism for using the A bomb on Japan.

Get over it.

The only exception is Kublai Khan's invasion of Japan, if you consider the Mongol empire Chinese too.
China is not a successor of Chinese civilization if you don't consider Yuan is one of Chinese dynasties.

Let's rewrite the history of China!

Verbal apology means little if your actions show otherwise.
Let me google how to translate 以小人之心,度君子之腹 into English.

I find the explanation below is pretty cool:

meaning these narrow hearted and shorter viewed people always guess things in their own narrow hearted and shorter viewed ways , in fact these greater hearted people thnik things very differently

I will be waiting for China to apologize for what Yuan did to Japan then

Yuan is a Chinese dynasty, no problem. But the ruler of that time was not a Chinese, and didn't follow Chinese tradition in many ways. The Mongols were famous invaders.

China and to some extent, Korea should grow up and stop using Japan as a political propaganda tool. Both countries are not as developed as Japan, and so they feel envious towards and jealous towards Japan's success as a major power both before and after WWII. This is understandable, but if they really want to catch up with or overtake Japan, they should achieve it by more civilized means.

Japan had in fact provided substantial loans to China for her economic development a few decades ago, and the CCP government had even waived the need for reparations and compensation from the Japanese government. It wasn't until Jiang Zemin took over the CCP leadership in the 1980s that Chinese education became increasingly anti-Japanese.

And cultural differences probably play a part too. Koreans and Chinese are more similar to each other; they tend to be very nationalistic, brutally honest in your face, and relatively selfish. The Japanese consider other people's feelings, and try to avoid confrontation by all means. Although their government is aware of the country's shameful wartime past, they tried to make up for that by issuing apologetic statements and providing China with development loans.

But, not only did the current Chinese and Korean governments not make public Japan's contributions to their countries to their own people, but they continue to stir up anti-Japanese sentiments in the education system. There is just so much that the Japanese government could tolerate until they decided to not cave in to any demands from China and Korea, and to move the Self-Defense Forces into a new direction.
