McDonald's in Japan is Putting Chocolate on Its French Fries Now (people, cons)

January 19, 2016 Today, McDonald's Japan announced the latest fry innovation to hit their menu- a tasty twist on one of the Golden Arches' classics. Everyone’s favorite French fries received the ultimate chocolate makeover with the introduction of the McChoco Potato.

My husband saw this earlier this evening...all he could do was ask why?

I can see the reasoning...but...nope....not really seeing it.....much less tasting it.

Heh - I just linked to this in the thread asking about french fry toppings. These folks put mayonnaise, potatoes, hot dogs, tuna, and corn on their pizza. I wonder how much actual chocolate is in the chocolate sauce that McDonald's will be using?

It's not that odd when you consider that chocolate covered potato chips are pretty mainstream.

I've made chocolate covered french fries at home, they are amazingly good.

I'm surprised Wendy's didn't do this first. Don't people like to dip their fries in their chocolate frostys?

I thought I had commented about this earlier today, but I put it in the wrong thread.

I use to do the same ... that is, until Wendy's changed their fries. The new ones aren't as good in Frostys.
