lol......Yeah I didn't really mean that every single person I see in my apartment complex I stop and have a long chat with....HA (Kind of reminds me of that Seinfeld where Kramer put up pictures of everyone in the building so everyone could get to know one another....lol). My point is, I kind of like living among other people. It just seems more interesting then living in a single family home in the U.S. where you don't run into others all that much.
The walkability is awesome. Walking to the subway, the grocery store, restaurants are all within a couple of blocks. I have a Starbucks and 7 Eleven right across the street. Try getting that in the U.S. Never would happen unless you live in Manhattan, which I would never do.
Walkability is what I would miss the most if I had to move out of Asia, as well as the fast paced interesting life of living in a big city ( Guangzhou/Shanghai China).
Big cities in East Asia have a special type of vibe to them, I can't describe it really and it is of course very subjective. But they have a special energy that other, even world class cities like London, Paris or NYC, just don't have.
I can't cook that well either but everyone can learn. I would easily pick a well-functioning country with horrible food (i.e. The Netherlands or Sweden etc.) over a corrupt, poor hellhole with good food (i.e. Thailand or Mexico).
I miss the stores that were open 24/7, the active nightlife, the pretty females (incl. transgenders), the higher temperatures.
If Japan was less expensive and Thailand more developed i would live in one of these countries for sure.

7-11's and Family Marts are only good when you are really hungry but have no idea what to eat, or just want to grab a cup of (cheap) coffee. They sell such terrible food.
We can pay the bills, buy the tickets etc. at the convenience stores here but I'm not sure if it's possible in other countries.

Yeah, i never used 7/11 or Family Mart to get a meal but things like phone credit, cigarettes, drinks, chocolate, chips etc.
I'm a person that doesn't really have a day night rhythm (i know, not healthy but what can i do) so these shops are really convenient for me.
Not sure what kind of job i could do in Taiwan, teaching Western history mixed with some topography to 10-12 year olds? Is that job allowed in Taiwan for foreigners? I don't have a degree for it but i think i know enough about it for kids in that age bracket.
