Working at a school - it turns out that teachers with the same qualifications get paid differently depending on nationality - Those from Philippines make 50% of Western teachers, South Africans - 80%. I am curious how they get away with this for professionals -(
Professionals as in Engineers, IT, Finance? Most are from the US and Europe. Depending on how the contract is written we get a mix of six figure ($) incomes, apartments & transportation covered.
The population here will skyrocket as each family has 5 to 6 kids. What happens when the oil runs out in 40 to 50 years??
If they create industry like the UAE does they will be fine. If they follow the path of Saudi Arabia who is already running into the red due to low oil prices and over spending then their future is pretty bleak. Currently they are following the path of SA as they have also entered deficit territory. As they and most of the Middle East spend very little internally, they will all look like Yemen or Afghanistan.
