Hello. I heard you need a visa to visit japan even as a us citizen. Also even if you only stop for half or 3/4 of a day. How long does it take to complete the visa? How much is it? It'll be on my way to and from southeast asia.
Entry & Exit: You must have a valid passport and an onward/return ticket for tourist/business "visa free" stays of up to 90 days. Your passports must be valid for the entire time you are staying in Japan. You cannot work on a 90-day "visa free" entry.
