Begging is a big business. Some of them give daily money to a bigger gang to purchase "rights" to Beg. People who are seen begging at daytime are often thieves / robbers at night time. They do survey of robbing opportunities !!!

I was under the misconception that Indians were accepting and tolerant of others.

Lies along glaring traits of poverty dysfunctional. Never struggling to avoid. Tons of beauty outside in the fresh air. Oblivious clueless ironic when some don’t find out. West-East regional divide barriers. Regular avoid Andhra, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram. Pretty much only venture out into Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttaranchal/Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir.

One of the biggest misconceptions I have come across from foreigners is that the caste system still has an effect over India and that lower castes in India are discriminated against by higher castes in India. The truth is that it is exactly the opposite. Since Indian independence from the British, there have been laws passed for high lower caste quotas in government jobs, politics and colleges for equal representation among the lower castes something similar and akin to affirmative action for minorities in America. Now a days it is actually better to be lower caste to get a better placement in college or to secure a job as a government IAS officer!

If India had remained at half a billion like in 1960 instead of tripling its population since then, the Indians would probably have the same standard of living as any second world country, from China to Eastern Europe. A terrible tragedy imho.

The population explosion is a concern and historically some Indians have immigrated around the world. For instance in the Central Valley of California there is a large population of Sikhs who own and manage some of the state’s largest fruit and almond farms.

I blame congress party. China is a dictatorship. They do whatever they want with no repercussions because the communist party controls the gun.
