Thought it might be helpful....please, no backpacker dumps...and save the AIRBNB for another thread...mainly because they are different than a hotel and forbidden to rent by the day in a number of markets...I will recommend the Siam Privi in Huai Khwang area of Bangkok..8 story , no pool, cctc, wifi, good air con, secure, friendly, balconeys.smoking outside...here are hard as a rock....stayed for as little as 7 us..usually about 12 on Agoda..walk in rate 16.50...25 cents minibus ride from MRT..or 60 cent moto taxi..their English is much better at the Marriott for 15 times more...enjoy!
