I would like to understand the S. Korean mindset as well, they seem to have lived with that threat for so long as to just ignore the threat of imminent death at the whims of the loony Fat Man in the north, and focus on K-pop and boycotting Japanese beer.
Many Koreans would love to see North and South reunite at some point.

Yes of course but that's not going to happen while the Kim dynasty is still around, if it does happen it will be on the Fat Man's terms.

So still waiting for an answer from a S. Korean, I understand the frustrations with Japan and that countries failure to completely address it's historical crimes, but why focus on that at when you have a madman in the north with his finger on the button?

It becomes our problem because eventually every country comes back to the US and says "help, save my ass". Usually it's a country that just yesterday was critical of the U.S.

Did you mean the past seven decades instead?

Not really warm actually in the past seven decades or centuries.

Officially they have bad relations but South Korean culture is still popular among Japanese youths.

Korea is the victim of invasion, Korea does not harm Japan.

There are still some war crime denial people, causing resentment of Japan in other countries.

If Japan and Korea keep fighting, it will be very ugly for western countries
