Haven't you read the replies to that statement? Just go back few pages. LOL

Btw, the video is from San Carlos City- which is nowhere close to the capital. We're comparing capitals to capitals. The vast majority of Manila residents have piped water, while only half of Jakarta does. Thats a shame because the Philippines is a poor country, not an upper-middle income country like Indonesia
Because the quality of piped water in Jakarta is not as good as other regions due to ageing pipe, sometimes the water smells weird, but nowhere near as disgusting as that dirty piped water in the Philippines.

Please don't think that half of the pop is so poor that they can not afford to get piped water. Or the regional water supply company is so bad that they fail to supply water to the people. No, it's not the case in Jakarta. There's no demand of piped water in the first place.

What Jakarta need is strict regulation to control the use of ground water.

WHAT A DAMN SHAME PHILIPPINES the ONLY COUNTRY IN REGION selling PAGPAG

Why are you using percentages when you don't even have data? All of the percentages I provide are based on actual data from sources that I post. You just watch youtube videos. You talk haven't actually traveled anywhere. You stay in your mother's basement (it's probably flooded because it's Jakarta). All you're doing is providing anecdotes. Look at actual hunger statistics.

https://www.globalhungerindex.org/ranking.html

Indonesia and the Philippines have essentially the same ranking. 19.0 (Philippines)- 19.1 (Indonesia). The higher score means more hunger.

So yes, Indonesia is ever-so-slightly more hungry than the Philippines. Whether they eat pagpag or not is a personal choice. But ask yourself why an UPPER-MIDDLE INCOME country has the same global hunger index score as a poor country (the Philippines)?!?! What a damn shame

I'm not bragging. I said they have essentially the same score. And even your food security scores are essentially the same. So please ask yourself why a wealthy country like Indonesia has the same or close to the same hunger as a poor country like the Philippines? What happens to all that money? Oh yeah, they use it to build skyscrapers and malls on top of land that is already sinking. On top of land that can't even support piped water for 50% of the population. Yeah, thats where the money is going

Example of piped water in Jakarta. It is clean like really clean-clean in our eyes. But the smell sometimes is weird. Ground water is not only clean, but also smell-less. But it's bad for the environment to over exploit it, sadly.

If the piped water looks like that of the Philippines' (chocolate milk), Indonesians will go crazy. LOL

Do you even know how to read? Nobody is comparing current scores to previous scores. I'm comparing Indonesia's scores to the Philippines scores. They're the same. So while you keep searching for youtube videos. I have actual data that shows that your rich country is just as hungry as the Philippines. What a shame

Your video was a random sexpat living in San Carlos City. It's not even close to Manila. Not even on the same island. We were comparing CAPITAL CITIES.

Here's what the water looks like in Manila. And it comes out of pipes that people did not have to dig themselves. Wow. Half of Jakarta could only dream of that.
