Or better yet visit India or Thailand for some real spicy food. But you are right, Korean food has a lot more spice then Japanese food. But to me Korean food is still pretty mild. I have kind of a love hate relationship with Korean food. I don't like it as much as Japanese food, but I still crave Korean BBQ, or Bibimbap sometimes.

It depends on where you depart. I usually just needed to pay an additional $100-150 for visiting both countries in airfare. Much cheaper and shorter than flying to Thailand or India.
