If you browsed or participated in discussions of China issues, you will continue to get messages, maybe with the same topics and sentiment. Natural language processing technology is very advanced nowadays, it is very easy to perform a topic and sentiment analysis and notify clients accordingly.
I am done explaining reddit to you. You clearly don't use it.

Also, China is a huge country with many interesting things going on, not just politics. Even Taiwanese media often report some interesting, non-political stories of China, which is a part of "cultural exchange". But if you take a look at English mainstream media and social media, they are heavily leaning towards (negative) political issues. That is another lacking of balanced perspectives.
That's hilarious considering China never allows a balanced discussion. Since when has China had any balanced discussion on HK protests? On Taiwan's statehood? On June 4th?

China doesn't deserve any balanced perspective.

Clearly you have no idea how recommendation systems work, while I used to develop one. I have much more insights than you do.

If you check Chinese media, there are many positive and neutral stories of America and other countries. Chinese mainstream media is state run and the opinions are certainly controlled by government, but it's still more balanced. Don't you see the problem now? US media has the opportunity to be diverse but as a result, it is biased. This is even worse.

Moreover, people in China all know the media serves the government and won't fully trust it. Americans also don't trust the media on domestic issues, but when it is about China and other countries, they suddenly trust CNN and Fox News as if it was ok to be biased against foreign countries. This is also something wrong.
