3. Southern Thailand (areas within black circle)

Southern Thailand is the biggest mix pot of all, people there are mixed with all kind of things such as Tai-kadai, Han-Chinese,Malay,Khmer,Arab,Europeans and Indian (People in this areas will kinda have random phenotype/looks, it's super diverse here. The diversity of the people in Southern Thailand is on the similar level to the Indonesia, Philippines and Malaysia.)

Statistically Southern Thailand has very low population, the entire region only has 13% of the total population out of the whole Thailand. (9.5 out of 70 millions people)

Southeast Asian countries have more ethnic diversity than Japan and Korea.

Thai Chinese have Thai surnames and given names and have mixed with other ethnicities.

Thailand overall isn't really that diverse and actually quite more homogeneous than most of other countries in Southeast Asia(but of course, not as homogeneous as places like Japan and Korea). The majority around 70-80% of the population of Thailand today are genetically and physically similar to the people of Southern China and generally have East Asian phenotype.

Genetic research results

However, there are definitely some diversity of the population's ethnicity in Southern region of Thailand, you will be able to find all type of human phenotype in this region.(However, Southern region has very low population and only contains 13% of the total population of Thailand, but it is the only place where you will see the highest population diversity of out of the whole country).

You will see people with all kind of look such as...

1.Southeast Asian looks
2.East Asian looks
3.European looks
4.Indian looks
5.Arab looks
6.Latino looks
