Yea, it's a terrible situation and Singapore is trying to handle it responsibly. It's not like Taiwan couldn't find itself in something similar. I don't understand having either a gleeful response from a person of one country towards what's happening in another even on the most basic level of there being enough uncertainty that a rough patch one place is having has a chance of coming over to you.
