Now fully vaccinated people from HK and Taiwan, which are in the same country as Macau, must still spend 2 weeks in Macau hotels first after entering.
Macau won't open up easily coz it is following the strict policies of Mainland China. The strictest anti covid policies in the world. Good policies to prevent the virus.
This is good news! "Singapore Airlines (SIA) will require all its front-line employees based in Singapore, including pilots and cabin crew, to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 by Sept 1"
This somewhat implies that Singapore Airlines might become the first transit hub in Asia to move people around Asia - something badly needed during COVID right now.
Singapore Airlines by Sept 1
JetStar Asia by Oct 1
Scoot Airlines by Dec 1
Free vaccine for visitors !!! From singapore tax payer Monies
That's just for non-residents who are currently in Singapore.
If they are paying hotels or for apartments and are in Singapore anyway for whatever reason, and stimulating the economy, why not allow them to be vaccinated like everyone else there?

Free vaccine for visitors !!! From singapore tax payer Monies
Singapore is expecting a sharp rise of cases when travellers are no long qurantined after entering. The situation in nearby Malaysia and Indonesia is serious. Vaccination can help infected persons but can't prevent infection and spreading.
That's also the case in HK, free vaccines, Sinovac or BNT for SOME visitors and "asylum seekers"
The number of visitors in HK are very few since visitors are denied entry except from a few low risk countries and other parts of China including Macau and Taiwan.
It is just the same when airports let visitors use their washrooms free of charge, provide free wifi and sockets to charge phones.
Or when governments provide emergency medical services to visitors.
Governments not too poor should provide essential things and services to all people inside their borders.

Fuelling the debate on what strategies states should implement to control the highly-infectious Delta variant, Premier of NSW, Australia said the state must accept residents will have to live with the virus. "We can't pretend that we will have zero cases around Australia with Delta. As the Doherty report says, once you get to 80 per cent double dose, you have to open up, everyone will have to learn to live with Delta," she said.
"In New South Wales, we are learning that earlier than others."

The places in Category I include Mainland China (excluding Jiangsu province), New Zealand and Taiwan. Hong Kong and Macau will be added to this category from 11.59pm on Friday."
